Implant— a way to support and retain the upper tooth restoration based on the lower structure implanted in the bone tissue.
Include two parts: lower Implant support and upper dental restoration.
Use artificial materials (such as metal、ceramics, etc.) to make implants(similar to the shape of tooth roots), which are surgically inplanted tissues(usually the upper and lower jaw) and abtain a firm retention support of the bone tissue, use a special device and method to connect and support the upper dental restoration.
Dental implants can obtain restoration effect that are very similiar to natural teeth in terms of fuction, structure and aesthetics, and it has become the preferred repair method for more and more patients with missing teeth.
