1. Regular follow‑up visits

It is recommended to receive professional maintenance for peri‑implant tissues every 6‑8 months. Special instruments will be used to remove plaque and soft deposits around implants to prevent peri‑implant inflammation.

2. Avoid chewing overly hard food

Dental implants perform better than conventional dentures and allow normal chewing just like natural teeth. However, hard foods should be avoided to prevent crown fracture, screw loosening and excessive loading on implants.

3. Protect implants from heavy impact

Avoid heavy physical impact to the implant area. Seek dental examination promptly if any collision occurs. Titanium implants feature excellent biostability and will not be corroded by ordinary daily food.

4. Maintain proper daily oral hygiene

Brushing and rinsing after meals are essential. Use a soft‑bristle toothbrush; you may soak it in hot water to soften bristles further.

Since the periodontal structure around implants differs from natural teeth, interdental brushes, dental floss or water flossers are recommended for targeted cleaning around implants to extend implant longevity.
